Abraham Russell Flynn (born 13 September 2001) is an English-Indonesian actor. He began his career as a child actor, and had minor roles in Indonesian family musical film Sepatu Ronald (2011) and Rumah Kaca (2012). He portrayed Gara in the melodrama drama series Sebelum Hari Ini Berakhir (2018), and had his breakthrough with the Netflix thriller film Nowhere (2019) and its sequels (2021–2023). Flynn has since starred in the NBO miniseries Kisah Rinjani (2022), Anggara (2024), and the Netflix teen romance film A Song Titled You (2025).

Early life

Flynn was born on 13 September 2001 in Wandsworth, London, to a veteran English-Taiwanese actor Antonius Flynn and a prominent Indonesian model & actress Helena Kosasih. He is an only child. Although born in London, Flynn spent most of his childhood in Jakarta, Indonesia, where he was raised between his parents' careers in the entertainment industry.

Flynn attended the Jakarta Intercultural School, an international school in Jakarta, where he was actively involved in sports. He participated in several athletic activities throughout his school years, including basketball, swimming, and tennis, but football remained his primary sporting pursuit. He played competitively from a young age and regularly represented his school in inter-school competitions.

Alongside sports, Flynn was introduced to acting during childhood. He began taking acting lessons at the age of six, attending private acting and performing arts classes. Coming from a family with a background in the entertainment industry, he was exposed to film sets and auditions from an early age.

Career

He made his acting debut in the Indonesian family musical film Sepatu Ronald in 2011, appearing in a minor role. In 2012, he appeared in the drama film Rumah Kaca, playing the role of Akbar and Anjani’s son*.*

In 2017, Flynn appeared in the short film Remember Me. The following year, he portrayed Gara in the melodrama drama series entitled Sebelum Hari Ini Berakhir.

In 2019, Flynn rose to prominence when he starred alongside Rebecca Salim in an original Netflix’s thriller film Nowhere, portraying Alam, the leader of a group. In 2020, he appeared as a teenage Luki in the film Bomba.

In 2022, Flynn starred in a horror film entitled Semu, playing Samudra, a teenager who likes going on adventures to haunted places, opposite Chiara Lopez. In November 2022, he returned to his role in the romantic drama film 8 Cerita Pendek Arya. In this film he played Dimas Arya. In the same month, he also played Alex in the horror film Sunyi, co-starring Ivanka Poetri, based on the 1998 South Korean horror film Whispering Corridors.

In 2023, Abraham Flynn starred in Sarah Dwi Andika's directorial debut, Teenage Delinquency, as Ryan, co-starring Ivanka Poetri. The film also marked Flynn's debut across Asia. He was nominated for the Indonesian Film Festival in the category of Best Male Lead, Maya Awards for Selected Lead Actor, Indonesian Movie Actors Awards for Favorite Male Lead and Favorite Couple.

In 2025, he co-starred Evelyn Digjaya in the teen romance film A Song Titled You, he played Adrian Soka. The film became a major success, reaching the Top 3 on Netflix in 18 countries across Asia and the United States.

Personal life

Flynn is known for keeping his personal life private. Little is known about his personal life, other than that he is the son of Antonius and Helena Flynn.
